Header Setup with JRSC
Before I get started, I realize that this topic has been touched on and I did search. Yes, I found some information.
I would like to know if there are any header setups that yield more gains with a JRSC than a Kamikaze header. I've heard two sides of the story with that header and I'm somewhat skeptical of the quality.
Any suggestions?

If you really want to go nuts with the Kami...
Get it, and clean it up a LOT. I bet there are some good gains to be seen by cleaning up the horrible job they do making those POS's. I wish I had pictures...
Smooth out everything and Im SURE there are gains to be had. Also make sure to use a copper gasket (the new Kamis come with copper gaskets) and Grade 8 bolts & nuts with lock washers. Thats the advice given to me by John @ LHT performance, and supposedly the gasket problem ceases to exist with that configuration.

The primaries on the JDM style headers are much longer though. The JRSC responds better to shorter ones as the Kami has.
Like newgsrdriver said, the Kami's arent in that good of shape out of the box, they need to be tinkered with to work to the full potential

I had a Kami with a 2.5" collector. I also had a DC 4-2-1 header. The Kami definitely made more power...especially up top.
The build quality was *** though.

Probably the single biggest problem is that there is no brace on the a-pipe. Make a brace and support the a-pipe properly. It will solve probably 90% of your problems.

I'm looking for a 2.5" Kami for my 98 ITR. Where is the cheapest place to order one? Also, when you say "clean up" do you just mean the interior weld spots? Thanks for any info.

I found that the kamakazi had made more power than the others I've tried, As said earlier, clean up the ports , the welds are a little thick. And if it doesn't come with a copper gasket change it to one and use grade 8 bolts and torgue to 45 lbs.
I am working on new design header just for Blown motors, I will test it against my kamakazi I have on there and see if it is worth all the trouble.
But for the money, The kamakazi is the way to go !
