Default head studs and gasket

doing a new intake mani. and wanted to get a new headgasket at the same time cause it's blown. i was looking at the cometic headgasket and arp headstuds, planing to boost 7-8 psi,are the head studs necessary cause they are a bit pricy.

go with an oem gasket, and spend the money on the headstuds.

You have to get the HG that is for your car, if you have a GS-R, you have to use the GS-R gasket otherwise the oil and coolant port will not match up.

Use OEM, I have never have any problem with them...but def get a head studs..

yes $125 is not much but when you are doing a new intake mani + injectors + head gasket and studs, the money just adds up. sorry my pockt is not full of $$, the question was were they necessary and i see it's better to have replace them.

if you like to do things twice then it s not necessary. get studs and an oem HG and be done with it.

I don't think you should take that so defensively, he's just giving you advice. Of course it adds up, just like everything else does. He's just trying to get a point across, granted the amount of money we all spend on our cars varies, but wether it be $3000 or $10000 it's a ton of money. It all comes back to "cheap, fast, reliable...pick two". You'll find that skimping on parts that are neccessary and important, will only cause headaches and larger bills later on the road. Just do it right the first time.
