Default head ported to much

yo i bought this gs-r head off of a freind of mine. and i really needed it so when i got home i noticed it had been ported to much. next day i took it to the machine shop i mess with. and he tells me they did port it alot but it might be ok and he might be able to perfect it. but after he perfected it he kept mentioning i wont know untill i put it on the motor. but i had him do a five angle valve job and glass bead it and and now i been having like nightmares of me having bad low end and mid end. i have been trying to convince myself that it will be all good cause im getting these new superflo valves that increases flow into the cylinder walls that ferrea sell and im going to be turbo on high boost plz let me know what should i do

If it's a turbo engine and you are having nightmares of lacking low-end and midrange, be sure to choose a really really small turbo. No more nightmares

theres no such thing as to much porting, bigger is usually better as long as flow characteristics are good. which can only be told on the flow bench. machine shop will usually flow a head for 100 bucks. hell it takes less than an hr usually if you already have your valve tool.

nah it was not ported that much cause if that was the case dude in the machine shop would of never did it. the head has a 5 angle port job and im guessing you could always advance the intake cam for more mid to low range. and i have a elderbrock x IM short runners so that air is going straight in and im hoping it is going to pack the **** out of those cylinder walls not only that it is going turbo so i should be able to make up my power alil mid and top end i just dont want low and mid to be sluggish.when i bought the head it was ok from the car that it was in. maybe you guys could help me better tho if you know what i got i have gsr head sleeved block 84.5 forged eagle rods wesico 8.8.1 pistons acl racer series bearing knife edge crank im open for any suggestion

YOU NEED TO PROVIDE PICTURES FOR US TO MAKE ANY SORT OF COMMENT REGARDING YOUR PORTING. Then you proceed to start asking what we think you should as far as your setup goes. Its your car and to be honest 1 thread per day is created asking "What do you guys think about my setup, what should I do". I am not trying to be a jerk and I know it sounds like I am but reading the FAQ thread will help a lot.

Bottom line is this. Take some pictures and get some measurements as well. If it was ported to much it would have went through into the water passages, depending on where he so called ported to much. Its hard to say you need to provide us with pictures.
