Default Head gasket question?

why do head gaskets go when you start to boost? is the oem not strong enough to handle boost. or is it because of detonation or running too rich? how can i avoid from the head gasket no to let go.

Oem doesnt let go when you start to boost. Plenty of people are making 500/600/700/800+ whp and use stock. you need headstuds and to make sure the deck and the head are flat and OEM will work fine.
