I notice for a couple of days that my car felt sluggish. One of my stud that's holding the Turbo manifold is strip. I tried torqueing it more but it will just slip. Can I just take the manifold off and hellicoil it or I must replce the head?

 

If its a stud, you can just drill it out and install a new stud. I had to do the same thing..

but when you drill it out, you have to re-thread it again. the threads on the head are gone, either I helicoil it of put bigger stud.

 

Nope I didnt use a larger drill bit to drill it out. Had the remains removed then vaccumed it out. Then I installed a new stud from acura.

why acura stud? is it bigger or it's a different pitch. Can I just helicoil it?

 

yeh u can just get a helicoil kit

 

I think he used an acura stud cause the has an acura integra engine...
