Default havnt gotten to tune an H22 in a while...

last night we were on the dyno with one of the shop cars from Import Sports in Glen Burnie, MD. its an h22 hatch with s300, 1000cc injectors, 255 pump, a turbo manifold built byimport sports, and an SC61 turbo.

they changed from a log manifold to a tubular manifold, and at the same boost level picked up about 60whp.

i was surprised to see how much power we were able to make on the 255/1000's. generally the h22's will consume a lot more fuel than the B's. the stopping point we are at is we need more injector, more pump, more map sensor, and probably more turbo.....so to make any more power is going to take a little time and money lol

17lbs on pump gas (red)
24lbs on race gas (blue)

im sure steve will chime in with the specifics on the motor. we have been tuning cars for import sports for a few years now, and their work is top notch.

very nice numbers.

I'd definatly like to see some pix of the setup & what not.

I've been concidering an SC-61 for my self next season, seems like the best bang for the buck for a built 2.0 motor.

Obviously there are a lot of variables involved but much differently would u expect the spool to be on that 2.2 vs 2.0 motor? (84.5 x 89)

the H is going to spool faster no doubt about it, however the b (if built) is going to rev higher.

we have had great luck with the S362's and S366's on the B's. even the s366 is totally streetable and will make a ton of power. made over 700 on a T3 s366 2 days ago.

H22's are fun. They do use a little more fuel than a B series from 3800 to 7500rpm but the fuel consumption on a B series after 8000 rpm is crazy. If you could get a H22 to hold that same torque to 10,000rpm it would be sick.

Nice tune Joe

Thanks Joe. I think we were all happy with the power this car made. This is a very basic setup: sleeved block, pistons/rods, stock head, type s cams, ported stock intake manifold. I will try to post some pics as soon as I get a chance, things are crazy at the shop with SEMA and World Cup coming up. We were already talking about a bigger turbo and fuel system on the drive home last night. Haha. Yes this is a 61mm with a T4. for the Tempest tune

i thought damn either that is one really bad cast mani or one hell of a tube mani haha

Good example of the limits of a common array of parts. Thanks for posting this!

Curious, do the 1000cc injectors happen to be the new T1 1000cc JDM ITR carbon fiber anodized Bosch saturated injectors?

I got a chance run the car this past weekend. The car went a 10.9 @139 with no two step or anti lag. On the first pass, using the two step and anti lag, it broke an axle so I turned it off and was launching without it. Hopefully, when I'm able to launch the car with some boost it should go a bit faster. I was pretty impressed with the mph.
