having overheating issues cant find the source, help !
As of last week my car started overheating and I have yet to find the source but I think I may have narrowed it down to either a faulty thermostat or water pump, reason being is if I let my car idle for about 15-20 minutes from a cold start the lower radiator hose stays cold and only the upper hose gets hot. so im thinking the coolant isn't flowing.
At first I thought it might be a blown head gasket but after some reading it seems as tho i dont have any of the symptomes. my car doesn't smoke at all and drives normally, i also dont feel any loss in low end torque/power, fluids are not mixed.
what else should i look for if it is a blown headgasket ?

Check for pressure in the coolant system when the car is cold. Thats what mine did and it was a head gasket.
