Default Are hasport 70A's really this rough??

OK, so I just want to be able to rule out that nothing in my freshly rebuilt engine can be causing this vibration in my car this badly..are the hasport 70A's really just that rough? the vibration felt in the car is intense. The motor sounds fine and doesn't idle harshly and nothing can be heard vibrating from outside the engine that even compares to the feeling and sound effects on the inside.

thoughts?

wait, so you're telling me this vibration is a good thing? it feels like the mirror on my winshield is going to shake off.

I def wanted a nice sturdy solid mount, but sweet jesus this is rough.

well the vibration will be to me you see the inserts that come in them off the shelf worked for a while then when i started making some good power well they werent anymore they would flex so badly it would pull my shifter our of the bushing lol.
so to me it was solid or 70a's

well i knew i wanted something good, my car is expected to make about 400whp once tuned. sunday car only, with some light track time. so its not like i'm dealing with this on a daily basis. the 62's were rated street and the 70's are rated mixed street/track use. so i went with them.

I am running a set of 88a's on my H2B. Everything I was expecting out of them. Honestly, I am going to try and sell them and pick up a set of solids at this point. Just want to eliminate the possibility of a problem running a forward facing manifold.

By hand you could not move these mounts. But under load it does move. I am worried that with a forward facing setup removed almost 2 feet from the mount position, that the tiny bit of movement there could result in a large issue above a traction bar or lower radiator support. You could see these mounts flex a little on hard gear changes, plus i go a few small marks on the underside of my hood with the H2B. I was running it in an EG with the QSD kit, and I tried to prop my hood as little as possible. I had a few small marks from the valve cover, where clearance was somewhere around 1/4 inch.

i just hope once they break in a little bit better and my idle and everything else is dialed in by a pro that they will get alittle lighter on the vibration. my girl is going to kill me!

yeah the 70a is rough man. I run stock engine and trans mount with inserts and a hasport 70a rear torque mount, helps alot with vibration

If im not mistaken Tony the Tiger put 40 durometer filler in his stock mounts and torque mounts with one of those little braces and has no interior vibration and no engine movement... so what is that like ferrari quality or something??? haha cause my avid mounts vibrate (not that bad) but enough that it annoys me so im going to straight jock his style and try the filler idea lol

yes you will have vibration from the 70a but it shouldnt be anything unbearable.

remember you are building these high hp cars. stock mounts were designed for comfort and cruising. aftermarket mounts are more of a solid bushing design to help eliminate engine movement

also these hondas and acuras that we all work on are all pushing 20 years old
these cars are going to have squeaks and rattles which gets magnified when using aftermarket mounts
