hey whats up bro??
Yeah i have arias 8:1 psitons, and i love them!!
The best part is that you can easily run 20psi on PUMP gas!!!!!

Re: Has anybody here ran compression 8:5:1 (TurbodCX)
nothin much, I'm gettin howard to tune my hondata on my stock LS soon. i'd like to buildup a block sometime, and planning on gettin the highest pump gas numbers i can. i'm leaning toward 8.5:1 to save atleast some driveability. how does the 8:1 on the d16 work around town?

I have 8.4/1 compression and it feels the same as 9/1, but then my turbo comes on super fast, so...
Honda pistons !! Z6/A6 un-mini-me style !! Worked great untill my oil return got pinched...
I was running at least 6psi non-IC with no knock at all, but that's not impressive, I didn't get much wheel time.
Not sure why "honda guys" think the rules of engines don't apply to them ( never balencing the bottom-end and running high compression with FI ).

kind of a generalizing statement there, most people with built motors do balance the bottom end.
high comp + boost = higher numbers, you think its mandatory for boosted motors to run lower compression?
people do that for extra safety or lack of experience. Look at the fastest and highest hp boosted apps and you'll find 9.5-1 compression and up.

I know that higher compression will result in a high HP rating in the end, but I guess I only think of hondas as "street cars" and not 550hp C16 race gas kinda cars.
Lower compression will also allow higher HP numbers on "pump gas" which is MUCH more important that some number acheved on C116 ( at least to me ).
I'm sure most people do balence there build ups, I guess its just the retards I know.
High compression with 10psi on 93oct
OR
Low compression with 16psi on 93oct.
Which would you rather have on a daily driver ??
And just "food for thought" most "power-strokes", Duramax, and Cumming diesal trucks run 17/1 compression and my friends duramax gets 18psi at 1800rpms !! Totally different kinda enigine, but sounds crazy don't it !!

Diesel's compress to the point of combustion, and don't have spark plugs. I think this is why their compression is so high.

They are also 7.0 liter V8 motor too. Hence the ability to spool fast.
