Hallman manual boost controller problems
I purchased a hallman boost controller and I cant seem to get it lower than 10 psi. I hooked the top port of the tial wastegate to the side of the BC then the bottom nipple of the BC to the I/c piping going to the compressor housing(I tapped a hole in it). Did I hook up the controller wrong? do I need to disconnect side port of my WG, or do I keep it connected to a vacuum source? I have the **** on the BC all the way out and it still reads 10psi. Any advice as to what to do?
Are you sure? It makes sense, but what is the top port used for? There is a fitting that was given to go there so it must have an use?
Trust me I use the joe mbc (nearly the same thing) it works like the man said, side port of wg ONLY (leave top open) and then the other port on the mbc to the intake manifold (works better this way I think since IM will cut out pressure drop that happens before the throttle plate)... Tap it off your IM -> FPR vac line or before the check valve in the brake booster, either works fine.
ok!.. i have to understand,,
my wastegate have 2 hole.. i plug one hole with a Main vaccum.. and the other with my MBC
you say it's better to put the MBC on the Main vacuum port?

oH! maybe its WHY it's lagging and the boost are not very regular (depent on the temperature) ??
i will try that tomorow
thanks!
SO MBC on betwin vacuum port and intake manifold and i left the top port Open
