H22A turbo help
hey guys. I have a h22a in my sh prelude(99) with the LSD transmission. I was possibly thinking of doing a light turboing for it to make it faster but still daily drivable since its what I got. the car is stock(besides catback and CAI) as an fyi.
What would be a good route to go?
what would be some good turbos to get, i was thinking possibly a t3/t4?
would a kit be easiest to do?
should I upgrade internals, if so with what?
With the LSD tranny I have heard 250whp is what they can stand so if I hit that what would need to be upgraded on that to withstand more power???
and what would be a good way to go for tuning after it would be all done and ready to run??
thanks for all the info/help for whoever replies!

Re: H22A turbo help
first set your hp goal. also if you think you wont be needing more power that "kits" offer than might as go with turbo that comes w/ kit. however, if your gonna want more power in the future, go custom from ground up.
going with kits, you dont need to upgrade internals as far as boosting amount psi manufacturer recommnded which i believe 7-10psi.
but before spending ks on your only car, do a compression + leakdown tests just to see if your motor is healthy to even boost.
as for tuning, u can use ecu that comes w/ kit or get s300 w/ p28 and call it a day.

Re: H22A turbo help
yea i was looking at the s300/p28's earlier, I will still have to do a compression test to like you said see if it would even be worth boosting. as far as hp goes im not looking for anything probably over 250hp which i doubt it will even make it to that as I have the lsd transmission and not sure what I would need to do to "upgrade" that to withstand more than 250whp
