Default h22 Topmount

Does anyone know a company that makes a good topmount manifold for a h22? Im planning on spending a few bucks on it so thats not a issue. Or is it worth the price compared to a good ram horn?

Depending upon whether or not you're using the topmount for a very large turbo, (over 65lbs/min) I find a better "Ramhorn" would be a better fit. I personally like the Peakboost one used for the H22 is a fantastic manifold for the H22 for smaller to mid-framed sized applications, up to T3/T67 sizes.

im planning on putting a t70 on my set up. is the flow from a ram horn the same ase a topmount? Does the position of the wastegate make a big difference aswell in any manifold set up?

Well, "flow" is a very relative term. Check this portion of the FAQs out for information regarding the 3 types of manifolds typically used on Turbo horsepower hondas.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/why-top-mount-2152865/

There is a difference between "flow" and finding the correct balance between exhaust energy VOLUME and VELOCITY. For larger framed turbos that concentrate on VOLUME only, topmounts work fine. "Ramhorns" tend to have a better balance. Equal length "shorties" have the best balance.

Short answer: Top mounts are for top end larger framed turbos concentrating on top end only. If your "T70" is not an e-bay version and is an actual 70mm inducer, "Ramhorns" are even more potent with that balance. A topmount would be more for space requirements

so a good ramhorn will be good enough. now what about wastegate placing, ive seen a lot of ramhorns in front like the peakboost, what about on the sides? does that make a differance. One other qeustion. FUEL....will a walrbo 255 be good enough to supply enough fuel got 1000cc injectors. Ive did some reading and seen that they can fuel 600+ hp cars. will one drop in tank kit be fine? Thanks

1. Wastegate placement is BEST directly off of the collector as much as possible. If it is on "the side", make sure that it is off of the collector and not off of one runner. (See picture above). If not, you could experience creep issues.

2. For 600whp, that walboro 255 342 hi flow pump is at its maximum. If you plan to go higher, there are twin walboro in-tank kits that are available, as well as external pumps. For your needs, the twin in-tank from Full-Blown would be just fine. The only drawback is that you don't know when one of those pumps will fail should something go wrong in the future. (I've experienced a few Supras that had that problem). But that isn't very likely, so I'd rock that.

Meh, I suppose. I still don't like what THEY did, though the steel used seems stout. But the only way to know at that point is to get it and use it. There are no warranties express or implied, and you don't know who created it, unless you spoke to the creator personally, so its hard to say.
