Default h22 over heating

Hi, my car is overheating and I'm out of idear/solution to try and fix the problem.

the specs...

H22 golden eagle sleeves
GT35R turbo
3 inch thick radiator

cams Skunk 2 pro series (n/a cams)
cam gear ajustable (I'm thinking that my ajustment might be the problem)

the temperature goes slowly to 200 then slowly to 210 almost manage to stay there but after a couple of minutes raise slowly again to 217-218 then I cut it off....

I'm just out of idear to try and fix the problem... can anyone help me, suggest someting..

Could it be a blown head gasket?

what kind of car?

I have an h22 turbo in an 1995 civic. It doesnt overheat when I roll but when I'm stop at light. I have a stock radiator with a mishimoto slim fan (installing new rad this week)

I did flush out the coolant and put watewetter. It helped a bit.

I planned on doing thoses things and baybe you should to:

#1 wrap manifold, downpipe
#2 turbo bag
#3 Cut a hole in your hood (thread about this)
#4 cut the bumper to allow more air

I hope it helps you but you didnt say if it was overheating on the highway, city, red light. If so, you can just put your heat on

think about it real quick...the motor and turbo produces so much heat and it doesnt have a vent. All that heat stays jam under the hood

have you checked to make sure the fan is pulling the air in the right direction? could be wired wrong.

how big is your IC and what kind?

If it's coving the entire front you just dont have enough air flow especially if it's a precision. make sure there are no air bubbles in the system

no i wouldn't do that. blocks surface area on the radiator. the fan can not move air faster than whats coming at it while driving on the street.

basically make sure the air is being pulled from the front of the car into the engine bay instead of vice-versa.

thanks for all the reply's...
I'll try to shim the hood braket to make a vent for the hot air to go out...
The bumper is already cut out almost to the top, I'll try to wrap everything to see if it makes a difference.

just from looking at your set up, you have no air flow going to the radiator. that's why. then your engine bay is over 300 degrees i bet.

you gotta evacuate that heat. use a better fan. (spal 13in) with a shroud. you need a vent to get rid of that heat, not that jdm hood prop crap.

DAMN, I haven't fix this issue wet.... running out of idears.....
what I tryed so far:
Dianodize water
red line water wetter
wrapping all the turbo manifold and down pipe.

Today is a hot day and the car stayed steady a 217.... I'm really pissed...can anyone give me other idears... I'll try to put a other heater for the car as a temporary solution to lower the temp... hope this will help a bit ... I don't mind running the car with hot air comming from the vent ...

Built H22, GT35, 92 Hatch. Had overheating probs, tried almost everything. Finally went to a FAL type fan that shrouded the back of the radiator except for the round hole where the fan was - overheating prob. went away. Some cars benefit from enclosing the area between the intercooler and front of the radiator.

shroud and a good fan works.

spal puller 13in. a lot of fans are not truthful on the true CFM the fan really puts out.

what if...

when I reinstalled the engine in the car the heater was leaking water so I by passed it by plugging the two hose that go to the heater together before the heater valve.
What if by doing so I routed the water threw something that normaly cools it and therefore affecting the normal cooling system of the engine ... what do you think? I mean the heater normaly cools the water that goes threw it... but now the flow that goes in that hose is not cool and returned in the engine ... I don't know how the water goes in the engine ... but thinking of it when the heater is not in function the heater valve shuts the flow.
<
I'll try to block it tomorow and see if it changes anything..
