Default h22 catch can???

i know, i've searched. i've gathered some info and would like some input. please keep in mind that this is a h22 fi setup.

i'm planning on running a closed catch can system from the intake of turbo to the pcv. this way the vacuum from the intake will will allow the pcv to open. i'm gonna plug up the intake mani port and leave a breather on the valve cover. orrrr...

running an open catch system from just the valve cover to a ported pcv and pluggin up the mani.

does the pcv need vacuum to open up?

sorry i know that there's alot of threads on this topic. they just didn't seem to come to a def conclusion for me.

i was hoping maybe this could be like an open debate w/ pros and cons to each reply...

^^^ This 'great info' you are finding is probably from the other eleventy billion b-series setups. The h-series is a bit different.

Here's my setup:

JB Welded the original hole and had a bung welded to the side of the valve cover.

just one big-*** tube! I run it to a catch can and then ran it to plastic elbow that is tapped into the neck of my filter.

I just left the tube from the manifold-to-valve cover (pcv) tube on.

so you closed the port in the back of the vc and made one on the side? why did you do that?

so you are using the vacuum from the turbo intake?

I placed the port on the side because there was tons of room and it made sense to put it there based on where I wanted my catch can.

and yes, I'm getting vac from the turbos 'intake', between the inlet and the filter.
