What r ur power goals? Street car or drag car? If ur looking for 500 + hp then this turbo is a great turbo.

do you think its safe to tune only on 116, it might not be too healthy to run pump gas on that tune

HOW CAN WE TELL YOU IF IT'S "TOO BIG" IF WE DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH POWER YOU WANT!

If you want 200 WHP yes, it's too big.

If you want 700 WHP yes, it's too small.

You said "big power" but that doesn't tell us dick. To some big power is 500 WHP. To some it's 300. For others it's 800.

The gt35r should do the job I would imagine, depending on your goals.
You'll have no problem making 500 whp and It will spool pretty quick compared to alot of the other 500-600 hp turbos.

I think a few people have made over 600 whp with a 35r, If these are your power goals, I would Recommend the T4, especially with a top mount. the standard T3 housings are such a PITA in comparision.

Unless you are trying to run less boost on the street, then you are screwed

the wastegate size has alot to do with the manifold design. but you cant go wrong with a bigger wg

If Mike can do that then he's one extraordinary person. I have trouble holding a turbo with a smaller hot side to 9 psi with a tial 44mm gate on a tubular mani.

considering some owners are having to use 2 wastgates...i suppose so. also, the unnecessary use of thick wall material, thus creating a HUGE heat sink that heat soaks everything within 3 square miles adds to the poor design as well.

doemstic guys don't have issues with it....maybe design a manifold that's focused more on wastegate than the turbo..and you'll solve the problem

i have heard, from other manifold fabricators, that extra thich walls doesnt help performance at all it just adds extra weight. its great because you will never have to worry about the manifold breaking and it will last forever, but i thinner walled manifold will last just as long if it is braced correctly and will weigh alot less.

with that being said, i am very happy with my love fab manifold because i know its the last manifold i will need to buy (extra thick tubing = wont break)

yeah a lot has to do with manifold design and wastegate placement. like the hytech manifold papadakis had on his fwd car the path of air went strait to the wastegate and the turbo sat off to the side.
