what wastegate flange is welded on the manifold?..you only could used what wastege its flange for...unless you're gonna cut it off and weld a new flange for it...you can use anything from a 35mm-46mm from tial or other company...but whats your hp goals?...

Re: gt30r b16 wastegate size (Drum and Bass Racing)
im gonna push the b16 harder than normal and go to church and get a good tune. but i drive my car like 10 miles a day on average so barely get the surface rust off my rotors
ill be driving the b16 forlike 3-4 months till i throw in a built block, so i will prob run a pretty high (safe) boost level. hoping to knock on the door of 300hp

Choose a high quality and well designed manifold first, then buy the wastegate the manifold is fitted for.

big turbo + low boost = large wastegate.. more exhaust gases to vent off.. (open more)
big turbo + high boost = smaller wastegate.. less exhaust gases to vent off.. (open less)
small turbo you can run a small wastegate 35-38 etc..
Dont go double your spring pressure, or you can creep easier...
It gets tricky when you get into high/low boost setups with big turbos to avoid creep.
Goodluck.

The bigger the turbo, the more exhaust is required to spin the turbo, so actually less exhaust that needs to be vented.

how do i know what size my turbo is. i ordered the gt3071r with .82 ar but the only markings on the turbo are on the turbine side and say m33 a/r .60
but my serial number plaque has 700382-5012
so maybe that 82 stands for the .82 a/r ?
just wanna make sure i got what i ordered

Re: (B18C1CYA)
i was thinking of that or the hks. hks is pretty $$ tho..
people been telling me the ssac hks style work good too and i dont know if i should cheap out when i have such an expensive setup, but if it works, it works why spend more for nothin.

Re: gt30r b16 wastegate size (voltronR34)
So you have a T2 turbine that looks like this right? http://store.yahoo.com/cheaptu....html
If your turbine looks like that you have an internal wastegate. You don't have to use it, you can weld the flapper shut.
Personally I would go with this wastegate: http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/jgs40wg.html
