gt28rs/lovefab mani vs gt3071r/inline pro setup
this is 20 psi on both turbos, the lovefab/28rs setup reached boost 500 rpms sooner and has MUCH better response than the 3071r.
this is the ATP gt28rs+, the one with the 0.86a/r T3 turbine housing.
and the clutch was starting to go away.. gona have new charts up later with a good clutch and we'll probably lower the boost, im pretty sure we are out of hte efficency range of the 28rs at 20psi (the car has a 20psi wg spring )
the motor is an RLZ built 84.5mm b16 with aem ems 30-1050
the gt28rs+/lovefab setup made 371hp/286tq
the inline pro/gt3071r setup made 353hp/255tq
the lower line is 8psi on the gt3071r

Worthless! Time to put an LS head on that sweet bottom end Brad built.

phil sucks, he wont let me do burnouts or donuts... wtf else did they build lightnings for?

Re: gt28rs/lovefab mani vs gt3071r/inline pro setup (JDogg)
So the gt28rs made more power than the gt3071r? I thought the gt28rs was supposed to be maxed out around 350whp and the gt3071r (very similar to a GT30r, but spools much faster) was capable of like 500whp? Haven't really did much research on the turbos, I was just checking out the info they gave on atpturbo.com

This is a custom T3 flanged turbine housing for the GT28RS, I believe it is less restrictive than the stocker... yet spools stock LS's at 2500 rpms and 20% throttle to hear the propaganda. Dunno the exact difference but sure that has an effect on it... *shrug*

That's sweet. I have been planning on the gt28rs for my stock block LS and this is very reassuring.

so basicly this is another equal length vs. log style manifold deal???
love fab with smaller turbo produced more HP than the cast inline pro unit with a larger turbo.
atleast thats what im getting from this post.

I don't think he was trying to compare manifolds.
For me I was just interested in seeing what numbers the gt28rs was making.
Is it just me or does the dyno graph show the max HP for the Gt28rs should be around 286HP vs the 371HP which is in the post?
Well good numbers none the less.
I hope to hit around 300 with a ATP gt2871 t3 .63ar on a D16z6.

I belive this to have played a small role in this comparison.
It would have been nice to see it done on the same manifold
I have been waiting for some dirt on the inlinepro manifold. I wish I new how much of a difference This really made!
Thanks for the info JDogg

well if its the mini-me then excuse my ignorance...
nothing was said about which lovefab manifold was used.
i mean they do produce an equal length unit as well...
im assuming you knew which manifold was being used, because your local to the original poster.
i didnt know... sorry

Hmm, maybe you're right. I don't see mini-me in the thread. Guess I've been flipping through too many threads while trying to work at the same time. My bad.

Re: gt28rs/lovefab mani vs gt3071r/inline pro setup (Jordo)
Maybe swap out the turbos, e.g., 3071R with the LoveFab and 28RS with the InlinePRO, assuming they are both T3-flanged.

thats basicly what im saying.... small turbo+equallength manifold > big turbo cast manifold.
the lovefab manifold is the A/C SST
with the good clutch and some more tuning we are hoping to hit 400...
the dyno really dosnt tell the whole story, the resonce of the 28rs is amazing, ease into the gas at just abotu any rpm in 5th gear and you instantly have 10-12psi of boost.

I've talked to the guys at ATP about the T3 housing -- it's the same .86 A/R housing as the stocker, but with a T3 flange for direct drop-in for most manifolds.
Should be the same as the regular one, which to my suprise, did very well at those power levels
