GSR w/ Drag III kit with a Skunk 2 Intake manifold ????
anyway, I might be buying a used Drag III kit for an LS, and I was thinking.. INSTEAD of modifiying the IC piping to fit a GSR, can I just used a Skunk 2 Manifold ? I know they (skunk2) sat higher than the GSR and it's pretty much like the ITR which is again is a bored out LS mani....
if so, what are needed to modified the Skunk2 Intake manifold to fit in the GSR, I looked at mine, and the TB is gonna be a problem, since it is mounted higher on it ..also the throttle cable...I doubt if it's gonna clear the hood....
anyway, if anyone got the info on this ..pls let me know..
thanks..

Re: GSR w/ Drag III kit with a Skunk 2 Intake manifold ???? (flamenco)
I would definately use the Skunk2 manifold. G3-TEG dyno tested it on his turbo GSR, and it showed substantial improvements over the factory manifold - well worth the price.
Putting the manifold on is a bolt on affair. Your throttle cable could be replaced with a Type R or 90-93 Integra throttle cable, or you could just live with the throttle cable being too long. I don't remember exactly what I did when I installed one on my friend's car, but I do remember the installation being fairly straight forward, with only minor glitches.
Good luck.

Yeah... I think that gain 15ft lbs of torque and lost only 4hp. However, hp was realized later than stock I believe. You should use the search feature above and double check on that. Good luck!

actually the Skunk/type r is far from a bored out LS manifold. Anyway, I think that would be a worthwhile investment, if it makes life easier with the piping and give you more power how can you go wrong.

Re: GSR w/ Drag III kit with a Skunk 2 Intake manifold ???? (TurboInteg95)
that was my exact thought...
I figured instead of messing with the piping again, I mind as well shell out another 300-400 bucks and get a skunk2 and get it right from the get go..
so I can assume, that there shouldn't be any problem with the install of the TB.??? BTW where am I gonna find a 92TEG throttle cable..???
anyway..I'll keep you guys posted..

I've always been short. Its funny when people meet me for the 1st time they say, "I pictured you a lot taller." haha!
