Default GSR Turbo Problems...

I have a JDM b18c with a sls turbo kit on it with a p28 with hondata s300. I just got another p28 ecu from Phearable and this one came with a paper that says a p28 do not have the option to control the iabs and to block off the vacuum.

Anyhow I had my car tuned about 3 months ago with the vacuum line hooked up which would have kept the iabs closed to my understanding. We put down 276whp at 7psi and ended up cracking the ringlands on #4 piston. I was just wondering if the iabs being closed is what may have caused it to lean out in the upper rpms? They were stock pistons also...

I doubt that. there could be a million reasons of what happened, but that is not a cause

^ Yes, as TheShodan stated, the IAB's being closed did not cause this. Sounds like there was excessive detonation from a few different things. How competent and experienced is the tuner? Start there and correct as you go
