Re: gsr turbo dyno question??? (gsrtpower)
yeah if you add some more fuel you should be ok.
my friend is making 300/210 on a 135k mile bone stock gsr @9 psi boost. took me an hour to fine tune on the dyno off a street tune. he is running 19* timing up top. what do your timing values look like? how do the plugs look?

Re: gsr turbo dyno question??? (gsrtpower)
you cant go by the way your exhaust tip looks. you would be much better off with a lil richer afr, honestly for peace of mind.
those ngk plugs are good to use and the gap seems good, so i would get them again

Re: gsr turbo dyno question??? (gsrtpower)
you dont need a 70mm throttle body, and running 11's is way to dam cold...run 8 or 9's... richin up ur afrs and inch your timing up and listen and check ur plugs for detonation...

Re: gsr turbo dyno question??? (gsrtpower)
what are you using to tune it with? who is tuning it? use this plug bcpr7es they are from ngk....i would gap them to .28. richen the fuel up. and see what it makes.....my gsr makes 325 with a 60 trim.....i use those plugs and they work great. List your setup if you want more help. Also i have my s200 4sale with my tune on it...if your interested.

you could definately make more power...you're going to need a 3bar or a more efficient setup to do it.
I made 315/216 at 10psi on my GT3255 on an SLS shorty....keep pushing because the engine can handle it IF you're tuned properly

Re: gsr turbo dyno question??? (gsrtpower)
You don't need a ram horn thats for sure, stock gsr, with our log manifold on a 57 trim, on 7psi
Its not really about how much psi you run, its how much power and how well the tune is.

Re: (Schister66)
lol the -11 doesnt mean they are 11 heat range, it means they come pre-gapped.

while you can make mmore power, dont fall into that trap of "otheer people make xxx power why arent i". if you sppend the whole time trying to compare your stuff to what other people do you will never be happy, because there will always be someone doing better than you

either you have something restricting your set-up or your tune is very conservative because on 9lbs you should be around 280-300hp on a healthy gsr with a GOOD tune.

I wasn't stating my power numbers in order to compare/show off, but rather to show the OP that he can make more power safely on that engine.
To the OP: Like BlackEG said, dont fall into the whole number comparison thing. Build your car in a manner that makes you happy. It isn't all about peak power either...some cars make 400whp, but have no powerband. On my setup, i was shooting for good midrage and a nice overall powerband....its a blast on the street

cool, i wasnt singling you out either. your post just reminded me of the numbers comparison thing and how i always fall short of others lol.
gsrtpower: your numbers are still within range of where they should be. still though, a little more fuel would only be beneficial. the power or percieved lack thereof could be a function of ignition timing or other factors like small exhaust yada yada yada.
im getting curious, whats your full setup, like turbo kit and the whole 9 yards

Nah, not likely. looks like his tune. I've had over 390whp on a 2.5" without a problem.

Re: (Fo-Do Fanatic)
would it be okay if i go 10lb of boost? am currently at 9lb? i was wondering if it would make little bit more power...but..i dont think my tuner set any fuel at the 10lb map? he told me that it well go booooom cuz thier no tuning in that section....is it true...?????
