stock R head is fine(aka stock cams/valvetrain) .....esp with a stroker you don't want to be revving past what the ITR head will handle.

If you only want 350...only 350 can easily be made with a gt30r with the smaller exhaust housing. but you will want more...and that turbo is capable of it

btw with 84mm and stroker and a big exhaust you will have a very nice powerband.......roadrace car by any chance? should pull hard out of the corners

84mm sleeved block and your goal is 350whp? Thats really low for such a setup. Can you give us hints towards the rest of this setup...it'll make the turbo choice a bit clearer. Right now i'm thinking 57 trim in stark contrast to the rest of the setup. For that power goal, there's no reason to get anything bigger/ more expensive. Its simply not worth it. The only "better" turbo i'd suggest is the GT2871r .82ar

btw, watch that Eagle crank...people haven't had great luck w/ them

Yeah, that's a closed deck block. I was going to guess a DART block, but i'm not really knowledgeable about them...its just the only closed deck i would think of off-hand

i'm pretty sure it's not a superdeck, looks more like a dart block, if it is there should be stamps on it, they not ge sleeves though, and for you other question any v-tec head, type-r or gsr cams, rc 750cc injectors, and a gt 30, t3/60-1, 57 trim t3/t04, you'll be able to make 350whp on any one of these turbos on low boost, and still be able to turn it up when you get bored cuz you will...

It's a Dart block, and I'm pretty sure all the debree is left from the headgasket.
GE doesn't make cranks nor do they make rods.
It probably has an Eagle crank with Eagle rods.

Yeah, I know for sure that is not a GE built block. I'm sorry to tell you,but you got scamed. Try to contact the person who sold it to you. Good luck.

There are one of two things going on here:

1. Your "friend" is trying to rip you off
2. Your friend has no idea what is done to this shortblock and is reciting things he's heard elsewhere.

Either way, i would be weary of this setup. If you can see it in person, that would make it better, but dont rush into anything.

i couldn't agree more if you have that much in to a short block you should know what it is.....i wouldn't buy anything from somebody that is talkin nothing but

if you can get digital pictures of it, have the owner of the block use the Macro setting on his camera to get close-ups of the debris on the block. Be sure its headgasket material and not something worse like metal fracture.

is it just me or does this block look real shitty? that definitely looks like the aluminum is chipping away on the surface but its weird that it would be black. and the sleeves don't look evenly spaced. i'd stay away from that block, looks like trouble.

looks like a dart to me. you will hit 350 with ease all day long on a very low boost setting. You setup is quite the over kill for only 350 hp when its capable of double that easy.

has anyone else noticed whats goin on with cylinder num 2 on the backside of the block ? it looks as if the guard was measured once and drilled twice ? it looks to be the same on num 4 too. not a precision made piece imo.

im highly doubting this block guard is made by GE. new should at lease LOOK new ! the top of the block should look shiney and "new". it should be smooth and clean for a good seal with the head gasket. def not chipping as seen above. on top of all that who really knows who assembled this thing. hell on one hand it could be a ticking time bomb while on the other it could be a great piece. id play it safe and stick with ur ls/vtec. id stay away from this block and let someone else blow it up.

that deck looks like ****. and i have yet to hear of GE making rods or cranks. I would not use anything but a OE honda crank. be weary of this one, im no expert on sleeving but it just dosen't look quite right, especially the deck, looks f'ed or unfinished.
