Gsr nitrous questions
I have a jdm gsr/sir-g B18C swap in a 91 civic. I was wanting to boost it but compression is a bit high and dont really want to rip it all apart to build for turbo since it runs way too good to change it. So i went to thinking about nitrous. If anyone has any experience with nitrous on a gsr feel free to chime in and let me know how it went. And how big can i go on stock ecu. Should i go wet or dry shot.... And so on.

Re: Gsr nitrous questions
Sounds like you have a LOT to learn. If you are talking stock compression of mid 10:1 then that isn't even remotely high. This is especially true with the availability of E85 in your area.
Either way about a 100 shot would be as far as I would push it on 93. Timing pulled would be 4-6* and NGK 7 possibly 8 plugs would be needed. A wet kit would be preferred on a stock ECU and a direct port (although not needed for the shot size) would add security.
This has all been done hundreds of times on these cars and there is plenty of info on this. Since this is clearly your first time start small and work your way up. To pull timing you just retard your distributor base timing. In ALL instances forced induction would be preferred. You can easily boost your stock engine and get more safe horsepower than you could with nitrous but both would require a tune.

Re: Gsr nitrous questions
Yes i do have a lot to learn when it comes to forced induction. I have been wanting something boosted for a while but just cant strike the right deal or even find something i trust in my area.
I was kinda leaning toward a nitrous kit because i only have to use it when i want to. When i dont it can be just there. And i can still have the stock reliability. And a turbo is always spinning, and its hard on the motor all the time. So i guess i just need to find the best direction. I would rather go turbo than nitrous but was also looking at cost per gain. Everything will be brand new nothing used. And i know turbo kits can be salty. N2o ive found for under $1000. I guess ill just keep reading and researching and try to get a better idea than i already have

Re: Gsr nitrous questions
Same with boost. Stop chiming in with your ignorance. OP - You clearly have been reading all the WRONG information. Also, a PROPER nitrous setup will be more than $1k brand new. You should just not modify your car, if you can't pay don't play.
