gsr or itr cams......better?
What do you guys think? I have a 95 gsr with je pistons and lower compression and a rev hard t3/4 kit. I had 2001 itr cams in it when I was all motor and they are still in it. Ive heard some people say that the stock gsr cams are better for the turbo setup than the itr ones. Please let me know what ya think. Thanx!

ya gsr cams can be found for cheap. think about the $400+ you can sell your itr cams for. there is someone on this board who switched from itr to gsr and made a large amount of hp. if you switch post some dyno carts.

so they are "better"? I have a friend that is in my team "teamrush.net" that has a gsr that he wants to stay all motor and he would probably trade me or maybe I will just sell them for some $$$$$$$$$$$ lol any idea what kinda gains he got over the itr cams? I will post when/if I do swap them. Thanx

125more? GOT DAMN!!!!!!!! Thats alot of power! man! your numbers are bad *** man! can I see the dyno sheets? would it make a difference in a gsr motor? I mean you put gsr cams in a type r right? Well I got a gsr with type r cams, hmmmmm just wondering if it would make that much of a difference in mine. I wish I had 440whp! let me know.............. thanx!

I was just told by dude at importsparts.com that the gsr cams are better for stock and lower compression because of the duration??????? Anybody else got a opinion? thanx!

sorry about the pics.my scanner is not working.and on both charts, they had a problem with the pickup-hence the gaps.on the 440hp chart, the guy that printed it out printed a lower boost run instead of torque.i never got a torque curve.

thats insane. i love it , but i wonder how it would work with the stock compression of the R though? I want to keep mine stock comression for as long as possible .
Why you need all that to hit 11.86? havng big traction probs?sweet as hell though. I cant wait to have mine there. soon . . . .

i believe we made about 20-30 more hp with the type r cams on my gsr motor. All i have is my current dyno sheet though, so i can't show the difference.

thats weird.. we were running gsr cams in our race car, t-66 11:1 compression 28lbs boost.. and we switched out the gsr intake cam with a ctr intake cam and made like 46 hp more.... that was back in 2000.. now its all different "roller rockers" huge cam. most of the guys in hot rod class or pro import are all running huge cam profiles now.. its all in the tunning.. just my 2 cents

I'm also in the same boat.. running ITR cams.. are GSR cams *really* that much more beneficial, even if you have adjustable cam sprokets, and someone who's really good at adjusting the cams?

I was told by this guy at importparts.com that because of the high compression the itr cams are better but with lower compression the gsr ones are better, thats why I posted this to see what all you guys thought.????????????????
