Default GSC N1 NA cams

Would the N1 cams be a worthwhile upgrade over ITR cams? Or would Skunk2 Tuner 1's be a better choice? I've purchased a gt3076r turbo and will be running it on my b16(stock sleeves) power goal is 400whp. My ITR cams have bit of wear on lobes so either way they will be changed so just looking for a decent upgrade cam. It seems the T1's might be a over kill for my setup?

Tuner 1's are a little over ITR's specifications. For your goals and assuming your lobes are truly worn, just pick up a set of GSR cams and call it a day.

i was told by a honda mechanic that the oem cams dont wear down. they may have wear makes but the lobs dont wear down. now how true that is, is beyond me. we would have to test a brand new set to an older set of cams to see if theyre still within specs. im running itr cams in my ride, been had for about 10 years with a gsr valve train.

But surely power can be improved with some better profile cams more suited for turbo application? I have Skunk2 intake manifold 70mm throttle body, Ramhorn manifold, gt3076r, 3" DP, 3" exhaust. Fully forged motor.

The Tuner 1's and GSC's N1's are a little more aggressive then ITR, Another option i would look into is the Edelbrock 4730's, Personally that is what im looking into. they are cheaper then the other two options with similar profiles. There not too big for your turbo selection either. I think either of those would be better option then ITR. However at a power goal of 400 Gsr cams would do just fine too. Would just need a little more boost to get there.

Thanks for your reply. If I can make more power at same boost level by changing camshafts I think this is a good thing. Am I correct in saying the 4730's have .9mm more lift on intake cam compared to type r intake cam and 1mm the difference on exhaust cam?

Bump on this. Would T1's be too much of a overkill for 400whp? I read thread that they tested T1's against ITR cams, the spool time was greatly improved and overall power
