Greddy water temp adapter is it NPT or BSPT and what size 36mm or 38m?
Hi guys,
I wanna hook up my Nordskog water temp sender into one of the large radiator hoses on my B18C. But I wanted to know about two things:
1) Is the Greddy water temp adapter a 1/8 BSPT or 1/8 NPT? my Nordskog sender is 1/8 NPT, and I read that the adapter is made to fit the Greddy water temp sender, but I dont know what size the Greddy sender is.
2) I'm using Teg rad hose which has a 38mm or 1 1/2" outer diameter and a inner diameter of about 31mm or 1 1/4". Now the adapter comes in 30mm, 34mm, 36mm and 38mm sizes. But do I match up my inner diameter with the Greddy measurement? meanining I would go with a 30mm adapter? or is the overall hose size matched up to the Greddy measurement? meaining I get a 38mm adapter because my hoses outer diamter is 38mm?
Thanks

I'm using the blue 34mm one. If I remember correctly, it was a tight fit, but I got it on with a little lubrication. The size of the adapter is listed in OD, so you should match that to the ID of your hose. I was able to get my hoses over the 34mm, but if your hose ID is closer to 30mm, you might want to go with that one. The temp sender port should be metric, since most of GReddy's stuff is metric. Just get an NPT>BSPT adapter.
edit:
I just checked the GReddy site, and it lists 32, 34, 36, and 38mm. 32mm seems to be the best choice for you if your hose ID is 31mm.
