Greddy vs Ebay
I'm sure this is no brainer, i'm swapping GSR motor into me 93 civic ex and was wondering which one is better the Greddy comes with everything except the intercooler and the ebay one comes with everything except the e-manage, and i would be running with stock internals. It would be more of a daily driver than anything else. Just want some extra zing :D

i assume youre talking about turbo kits?
You get what you pay for.
You should try to peice together your own kit. Itd be the same price as the greddy kit, youll learn a lot about turbos and how they work and youll end up with quality parts in the end
But to answear your question Id get the greddy kit. A lot of my friends run them on a 100% stock motor and have not had any problems.

Re: Greddy vs Ebay (Timberland237)
get the greddy and get the intercooler from ebay or find a used one here....... I would stay away from Ebay turbo kits because I am pretty sure you are looking at the SSAC or XS Power kits

Re: Greddy vs Ebay (BoostedEG6)
ok i have 10k and i'm buying a gsr for 3300 this is all CDN buy the way. I'm fully restoring my civic so maybe 1000$ for paint and other needed parts. i do all the work myself in my garage in-which i have lots of tools, compressor impact and a lift. It's just i notice the greddy kit doesn't have an intercool and the pipes are different so i will end up paing for pipes i won't use just to buy an intercooler kit after?

Re: (vg7z)
If you are dead stuck on buying a kit i would buy a peakboost kit for like 3k, buy some injectors, fuel pump and an ECU. Pay to get the thing tuned and be done with it.
The greddy kit is decent but once you buy a BOV and intercooler+piping you are in about the same boat as the peakboost kit in price...plus the peak boost kit will allow you in the future to make well over 400whp, while the greddy kit will limit you to around 300whp once you have upgraded the entire kit (which i have done and maxed out the wastegate at 275whp).
Honestly with the funds you are going to spend do it once and do it right...all the ebay kits are complete ****, i have seen tones of them fail over and over again as well as hearing so many people complain about their products. The only thing i would use from them online is their intercoolers and BOV, and i have heard most people have some succes with their wastegates.
But do some research, and talk to some local shops near you that are trusted. Thats where you will get the best advise for the most part, as long as they aren't just trying to sell you parts, thats why research helps.
Good luck
