GReddy Turbo w/ Nissan turbo
My roomate found a used Greddy Turbo w/ a Nissan turbo charger on it. Does anyone know if it's a positive or negative for this kit.
GReddy uses mitsubishi turbo's, correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I spoke to the local GReddy rep. and he said that they only use Mitsubishi turbines for their applications.
I don't know. Anybody else has anything else to offer?

The last gen Nissan 300ZX-TT used a pair of Mitsubishi TD04 turbochargers, so in essence, you could say that my turbo (in my Civic) is a Mitsubishi turbo, used in a Nissan, sold by GReddy, for Civic's.

Almost all factory turbocharged Nissans come with Garrett turbos. None that I know of have ever come with Mistubishi turbos. The 300ZX TT came with (2) Garrett T22 turbochargers. The SR20DET (RWD or AWD) came with either a T25 or T28. Either one of these turbos can fit onto the Greddy cast iron manifold. I believe the Greddy manifold is flanged for a T25, thus, the ability to use a factory SR2DET Garrett T25 or T28.

Well I can tell you the GReddy manifold is not flanged for a T25. I tried usuing a gasket for the T25 on my TD04 when it went bad.. didn't work at all. I had to go to Nissan and get a gasket for the 300ZX for my TD04, fit perfectly.

How do I find out which Nissan Turbo it is. The only thing we can see on it is that it says "NISSAN".
Is there a part# or anything we can look for on the Turbine?
Is the fact that it's a Nissan turbine a plus for this kit?
