Default Greddy Turbo question

I have an 01 GSR. Now I seached whether or not a GREDDY turbo for a 99 would work for my car, and it was said all I had to do was not use the blue box. So what would I use in its place and where can I buy it? Or would an OBD conversion solve the problem?

ive heard that you can still use the greddy blue box as long as you change your ecu to 96-99 and buy a obd2b to obd2a conversion harness....please correct me if im wrong...

i use a 96 kit (obd2) on my GSR motor, BUT i use Hondata S200B.

BTW if you dont use the Blue box, you need some other fuel management (FMU, AFC hack, etc) or 310 cc injectors will be too rich and OEM is too lean.

You can use their Greddy E-Manage instead of their blue box instead

but wait theres more.

the downpipe will be too short to make it to your cat. you will have to take it to a muffler shop and have them extend it.
about 6 inches. make sure they reweld the engine bracket on the downpipe too.

if your talkign about the downpipe that gets held held by under the motor area.. then yes.. and if your planning to use it .. i garantee you that part of the downpipe will break..the reason why the stock headder bracket doesnt break cuz theres not much torque being placed on it.. and if you dont want to beleive me then use it.. you can look under my car i didnt use the bracket i cut that **** off and my downpipe has never cracked, and how i kno this happend is cuz.. i have a friend sponsored by greddy the first prelude kit was made on his car.. a few days later when he got it back the downpipe crack becuz of using the bracket.. so they sent him a new one and he didnt use the bracket now his car is all nice now, and also i broke the bracket onmy single cam booting 12 psi....since you havent had a turbo kit on your car yet ill let you kno now.. theres alot of engine movement

what exactly broke? on a prelude i doubt the engine bracket is the same. i dont see how it could break on a GSR.

just cause something broke on the first protoype of a different car doesnt mean its a problem on all cars. Greddy wouldnt STILL include that bracket on GSR kits sold to this day if it was a problem!

what broke exactly? I cant visualize what broke exactly. ahh **** it... can someone prove me wrong please?

and yeah, my turbo car has torque.
