Default Greddy turbo question

Hello,

A freind of mine had a greddy turbo TD04H-19T on d15 engine i guess (it was a 99 civic ex).

He sold the car and removed the kit, it is still in a perfect condition.

I am wondering if this kit fits my civic si 00 (b16 engine)

As per my research the kit for b16 is TD05h-18g

My target is 230 hp coz i will be running stock internals.

Any reason not to use the ex kit on an si ?

Thanks guys

I don't know about specific B-series interchangeability, but, AFAIK, these kits were designed (specifically) for the purpose of conforming to California (USA) emissions requirements. They are pretty much gimped from the start -- ie. basically useless.

I'll bet Lebanon is more lax than CA in this department, and you can get a much better kit from an outfit like go-autoworks.com paired with something like a P28/Neptune.

Just something to think about.

My country is lebnaon, and guess there is a city in USA called the same.

If i wanna to ship a kit it will cost me too much, thats why im intrested in the kit available in hands.

He is asking for 1,800$ iincluding a mapped ecu and e-manage fuel.

I know that the headers should be replaced.

Hope somebody got an idea about the compatibility of the tubro with my engine.

I think there's a few -- but all the "mainstream" turbo kits sold here, at least, are intentionally down-engineered to conform to the emissions requirements of a specific US state (California), the "Greedy kit" being representative of this batch.

I don't think a car in Lebanon needs to meet CA emissions (a car in the Soviet Union certainly wouldn't -- CA is worse), so there are *much* better options available to boost the car.

The main problem you'll run into is the manifold itself. Your friend's manifold has a D series flange, whereas you need a B series flange. Can it be made to work? Sure. Should you order the correct manifold for your motor? Yes, definitely. That said, there's nothing wrong with a 19T on a B16. It's not "perfect", but there is no such thing as a perfect turbo anyway.

Thanks for the info.

BTW what is the diffrence between td04-15g and td04-19t ?

I have read that the e manage (blue box) is untunable, so i was wondering if it works well for b16 engine?

The 19T has single stacked compressor blades, whereas the 15G has double stacked compressor blades. The 19T is also a little bit bigger. I know nothing about e-manage, other than the fact that it's a piggy back. I always use, and always recommend others use, real tuning options.
