Greddy turbo question?
Just installede a greddy turbo on mys sons LS. It's the small one and also has
an intercooler. It came with the greddy FMU and my question is do you believe
that having the car dynoed now to see if it needed a larger fuel pump and injectors would be a good idea before driving it any significant distances. I don't
want ot rebuild another engine.
Also, would it be good idea to replace the FMU with a hondata set-up to bettter tune
it. Some answers with others using this turbo set-up would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Until a get a better ECU upgrade and dynoed
properly, would you suggest taking it easy
on the engine? Also, can any type of dyno tuning be done with the greddy FMU?
Thanks

Re: (kartman5)
depends. if its the "blue box" than no. its all self cointained. if its the emanage unit it is tuneable. the greddy kits come with new fuel injectors. because of the low amount of boost the integra is pulling, the oem fuel pump is sufficient.

Re: (kartman5)
the kit should have come with rc 310s. if it didnt thats a good injector if you want to keep it simple. if youre looking to run higher boost ( 10 psi range) get 440s. at that point youll also want a walbro 250 fuel pump

Re: (kartman5)
The blue box and stock ECU are okay. They also keep your OBD2 car emissions legal.
I would suggest getting a chipped ECU or go with Hondata. 440 cc/min or 550 cc/min injectors would be good.
I am pushing 12-15psi with my greddy kit. I have 550's, but I also have the stock fuel pump. You'd be amazed at what the stock fuel pump is capable of. If you are staying or at 10 psi then you'll be fine with 440's. Good luck.
