Greddy Kit
Hey my cousin just got his check from his accident and plans on turboing his GSR. He was looking to buy the Greddy trubo kit for his car but has a few questions:
1. What does the kit come with. Alot of sites just have pics and a brief discription.
2. Is it a true bolt on kit no tuning?
3. What numbers have people produced on it with stock internals and just the kit and wbat psi would you run?
4. Do you think its worth buying the kit with out a BOV and FMIC and if you would buy one with them is thier one cheaper then the greddy kit with them added and as complete?

the kit has everything you need to run LEGALLY. its recommended you buy the FMIC and BOV for reliability reasons
I made 224 WHP but thats with Hondata S200.
your kit will come with a locked E-manage unit. and no tuning required.
its not the best, but its CARB exempt.

I was thinking about getting the kit a BOV and FMIC and Apexi WS exhaust hopefully i'll feel a difference from the old stock car. Do you know if the kit comes with a new fuel pump? like I said no site really has a complete list of everything

no pump. but it does come with 4X RC310cc injectors. so thats plenty for stock settings.
its a basic kit with all the lines, hoses, clamps, pipes, nuts, bolts, fittings, fuel mangement.
all you have to do is cut a hole in the oil pan for an oil return line.
then you can go for a drive, BUT i strongly suggest gettting a BOV before anything else

Re: (Turbo E 604)
The local shop around here Exteme PSI told me I shouldn't waste my time if I only plamn on running 7lbs of boost with a BOV because the wastegate is fine that high. I plan on buying a fuel pump, fpr, fuel rail, BOV, FMIC, and some MSD to get as much as possible with this kit.

don't shop there then.
the wastegate is fine up to about 14psi then weird things happen.
its compressor surge that will kill the turbo. thats why you need a BOV, to release the surge into the atmosphere instead of slamming back into the turbo.
you dont need the ignition. but get the FMIC. I also think a good (aeromotive) fuel pressure regulator is a good idea and the fuel pump.
dont bother with the rail unless you just want bling. OEM can easily handle 7 psi's needs.
you wont get any more out of this kit (without HOndata, Uberdata, AFC hack etc) as you have no way of controlling the fuel delivery.
so get these things in this order as your budget allows.
-BOV
-FMIC
-Fuel Pump
-Fuel preddure regulator
-Fuel management (other than the included E-Manage)
don't forget a nice big exhaust and maybe a custom (bigger) downpipe, that really makes a differance.

Re: Greddy Kit (Negative3Five)
i made 220 whp 181ft lb at 8lbs. no tuning thats with the blue box only thing i could adjust was fuel pressure i had to lower it from what i had it preset at 50psi to 40psi it picked up 2 hp 1ft lb. not to bad that a 70whp gain over a stock gsr 149.4 whp..the engine is bone stock with 65,xxx miles on it... runs strong on the street, only bad part is having to buy a fmic and other little goodies (bov,pump,etc...)if you can get a kit in good condition used and cheap its worth it... u might want to check the classifieds i saw a used kit in their the other day..
