GReddy Intercoolers
Hi, I was wondering how much horsepower could the GReddy Type 24 intercooler could support for an integra. How does the quality and performance compare to rev hard, spearco, etc.? And more importantly, how does it fit? I know i have to cut my bumper support which isnt a problem, but id ont want to cut out the black grille in my bumper. I took out my air conditioning system and power steering already. Do i have to trim the grille in the bumper? if so how much? thanks.

are you building a full-race setup? the type-24 intercooler should be large enough for anything that you might want to run on the street. i know that on my civic i had to cut out the grille completely. the a/c and p/s shouldn't have anything to do with the way the intercooler fits.

I have no idea how much HP the type 24 is good for, but definitely up to a bar. The quality of the intercooler is AWESOME!!! MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the spearcos that come with the Drag and RevHard kits.
Depending what kinda car you have, you might not need to be trim the grill, but the bumper support you do. I have the type 31 which didn't require the bumper support being cut or removed. If you do plan to go with the type 24, then I recommend you trim the support using a dremel tool rather than removing the whole support in general.

GReddy intercoolers are very good quality but you can get a PWR at the same size for about $200 less. And the PWR will flow just as well. The dimensions btw are 11"x24"

This is a little OT, sorry for hijacking your thread but...
I'm looking at getting the Type 31 for my car. I have an Integra LS, and the only IC kits Greddy makes is for the GSR. Has anyone tried putting one of these on their LS? I know the throttle body sits in a very different location, I was just wondering how difficult it was to make it fit.
Thanks.

Unfotunately, the greddy intercoolers for hondas are designed for low boost apps (15psi or less). The internal construction on the fins is designed to be less of a restriction on air and cause less of a pressure drop. They are very good quality and work great on low boosted cars. I wouldn't recomment one for over 350hp or so. Other than that, they're a great intercooler.
