Greddy gauge users. question about the LED's
ok.... short story.
I have a Greddy EGT memory gauge. It was in the car for about 3 months working, but without a sensor. Finally, I got tiered and decided to disconnect it until I received the new sensor.
My delima:
I reconnected the sensor and then reconnected the gauge and it was only half backlit. Thinking one of the connections could have been at fault, I disconnected the gauge, checked the contacts, and reconnected it. This time, the gauge did not backlight at all. It reads and all the features work fine otherwise.
I plugged the gauge back up while the car was on, could that have blown out the LED's.... both of them?
I am about to order replacements, but want to make sure the problem is not bigger.
Has anyone here ever had something similar happen?
I was under the impression that LED's were supposed to last much longer, and be less problematic than regular filament bulbs.
thanks for the help.

Re: Greddy gauge users. question about the LED's (1genCL)
the backlit is actually lighted by regular bulbs.. take out the rubber grommets, twist the bulb out. and check if it blew.. or check the power wire for the gauge lighting...
