Default Greddy or Autometer Gauges????

I have searched and searched for reviews about both of these gauges.

I plan on getting Boost (Duh), Egt, and Oil Pressure. (later on a W/B o2)

#1. Basically what I would like to know, is it worth paying a little extra money and getting Greddy gauges or saving costs and getting Autometer? and why? is greddy more accurate than autometer? longetivity? Durability?

#2. If I do buy greddy gauges, is it worth it to get the Peak and Hold gauges?

#3. Electric or Mechanical?

Thanks for all your replies,

Jon

i cant really answer your questions cause ive never personally owned greddy guages or anything other than autometer, but i would like to in the future upgrade to something better then the autometer ones i have now.. greddy guages are nice and accurate from what i have read, a friend of mine has then and they are really nice as well.. lets here what everyone else has to say about this..

I used to own autometer gauges and have since changed over to greddy. I find the greddy to be a lot more accurate. Its amazing to hook up 2 gauges and get 2 totally different readings.

Autometer sucks ***, I am running Greddy 60mm warning series gauges now and they are alright. I'd go with DEFI if I could do it over though. Before anyone tells me Autometer is fine, I've used them in the past, and in my experience they were total crap.

enlighten me you know the real reason you switched over was because your autometer did not have the bLiNg mounted next to the greddy

I switched because my Autometer FP gauge almost caught on fire The white back plastic was brown and bubbled, not cool at all. The gauges would fog up all the time as well. You can call it wanting bling, I just wanted something that worked and that wouldn't catch my car on fire

i've had autometers for a while, and i dont really have ANY complaints about them... they look good, and always work like they should... exactly what i want in a gauge.

I had autometer on my last car, and have greddy on this car.

The autometers were cheap and seemed to work, the only autometer I had was the boost gauge, and from what I hear there boost gauge is the most accurate of the all. Just what I heard from other experienced autometers users. I also had the a/f gauge but we all know those are nothing more than a light show.

As far as the Greddy's I like them, they are nice, they look good and they are dead on accurate. Yes they are more $$ but Im glad I spent the $$ on them. For the best prices on them check http://www.aieonline.com, I got mine from there and from shopping around they had the best prices

I use the Greddy and I personal do not have a need for the peak and hold for daily driving, unless I plan on blowing the motor and then pressing the peak to find the highest boost point. Autometer I have heard a lot of negative things however the one person that I know using them has never had a problem with his guages. So I have yet to actually experience anything bad with autometer or the Greddy..
