Is the greddy 18g kit WORTH IT!!!!
Is the Greddy 18g kit worth it for a DOHC, even without the intercooler. This is the cheapest (as well as one of the only) street legal kits. The edlebrock performer X is more than double the price of the greddy. (I know that the edlebrock is street legal as well)
What kind of longevity can I expect from this kit and my engine if I don't drive crazy. any info on Experience with the kit would be great! The goal is STREET LEGAL!

No turbo kit is really "street legal".

Ok to be honst with you man I am going to say this. The Greddy Kit is amazing for its price. But I highly recommend an intercooler. Engine temps and turbo temps will be extremely high and the intercooler would be the problem solver for both of those. I would also would recommend piecing together a kit and thats just my opinion but I have seen very good kits pieced together for around the sme price the Greddy goes for. All you have to do is wait for deals in the Hondatech Marketplace. And last but not least to keep a long running car it depends on your TUNE.

Any part that adds performance to a car can considered illegal.

You're wrong. It's 100% legal in California. The kit comes with a CARB sticker.
I don't live in California, but at the time I bought mine, the intercooler and BOV were not covered by the CARB sticker that comes with the kit. There isn't even a flange for a BOV. Things may have changed, though.
What puzzles me about the Edelbrock kit is the fact that it comes with a Tial BOV that vents to the atmosphere. I don't see how they were able to legalize this in California, or any state, for that matter. It's more expensive because you get an intake manifold, BOV, intercooler, and a better turbo.
The Greddy kit is fun, but sucks without an intercooler. I drove mine without an intercooler because it was backordered from Japan for a couple of months.

ive got the greddy kit and my numbers are in my sig.
The limiting factor right now is the downpipe, but I plan to upgrade the downpipeand my exhaust and turn up the boost a little bit.
Since you want street legal this is probably the perfect kit for you. As long as you get anintercooler and try to tune it with emanage or whatever(if thats considered carb legal) you should beable to expect it to last for a long time.

CARB exempt yes, problems with police here in komifonia yes. Believe me, whether it's legal or not, you'll have to jump through the same hoops if cops pull you over and have a look-e-see.

Re: (Trac226)
Well, cops in California are just looking for reasons to pull people over. If you're that worried about attracting their attention, don't drive a modified car in California or move.

Re: (Sprockets)
Yea it is a good turbo, I picked up a 18g turbo for 600 withe the manifold with 400 miles and no shaft play. So you should look around in the market place for a little bit.
