Great news for NYC and east coast tuners, new dyno shop opening.
API absolute performance inc. scheduled to open in yonkers NY area within the month. Dyno technicians specializing in hondata, aem, haltech, afc, dsm link, and other types of standalones and tuning devices. The shop will use a dynapack dyno, which is the most advanced dyno technology out, IMO. http://www.dynapackusa.com/tech.htm shows the dyno equiptment that will be used.

That dynapack dyno is a interesting unit where that take off the wheels and bolt it to the car,no false reading from tire slip there.I would take my turbo D over there but I dont wanna break it on them......they're rated at 800hp

Re: (DBallz)
Yeah guys, it should be opening before the new year or the week after the new year at latest. For more info http://www.mrboost.com/ By no means the official site, but the homepage of one of the owners. There is an address to e-mail questions concerning the shop and dyno. I am pretty sure there is a beefier unit for 800+whp applications and i am also pretty sure this is the unit they will be using.

no, the people are probably not know as this is their first performance shop venture. The main owner has been a mechanic for years and i can assure you work done in this shop will be top notch. My motor was personally put together by them and 15,000 miles later boosting 9psi and beating the hell out of my car on a pretty much daily basis it still runs as hard as ever. The shop workers have experience with hondas boosted and na, dsm's, vw's, subaru's, pretty much most enthusiast cars out there. Machine work will be handle by a very reputable machine shop also with experience in building and asseblying honda motors. The shop's main focus will be dealing with dyno tuning, but performance modifications such as cams, turbo, supercharger, nitrous, as well as basic performance upgrades and transmission work will also be met by the demand. The idea of complimentary dyno pulls for higher end performance work is also a idea that may fall into play.

Re: (B18Flip)
my father Jerry Spallone is the owner...
when we set up the appointment we will be asking questions so we know what to expect as far as what type of modifications the customer has so we are more prepared to tune the car
Tuning Prices - will most likely be discounted when shop opens (add $20/hr tuning with race gas)
$125/hr includes dyno time, dyno technician (sets up dyno and tunes car), air fuel meter (this is for tuning of most piggy back ECU's)
for more complex systems like AEM EMS, hondata, etc. will run $150 an hour includes dyno time, dyno technician, air fuel meter
Misc. Dyno time - 3 pulls $100 this does not include a dyno technician or A/F
Repeat customers will be discounted
extensive dyno time will also be discounted

Re: (API)
for those of you trying to send me instant messages through honda-tech, i can't seem to reply, says i do not have permission
just post your questions here and i will answer them
B18Flip we will only be doing tuning in the shop on the dyno, our goal is to get maximum performance out of the customers car and at the same time have it running safely, to do so, we would have to use the dynapack and air fuel meter

Re: (miller)
we will be ordering the 800HP dynapack for now, once business picks up we will be ordering the 1100HP system which will then give us AWD tunning capability
the owner who will be tunning most of the cars has been tunning/fixing/building cars on the side for over 30 years
i myself have been tunning imports for over 3 years, have owned AFC's, timing controllers, DSMLink (not sure your familiar with this system), and now own AEM EMS which i've had for almost a year now, i also built my car up to what it is today http://www.mrboost.com you can see pics here and get some info on the car
another friend of mine who will be spending a lot of time in the shop has also been into hondas mostly for the passed 3+years, he now has a hondata in his 2000si making around 250whp
the staff is heading to california this week december 8-13th fo training on the AEM EMS and the dynapack dyno, so we will not be here to answer your questions for that week, the shop will open soon after we get back

I am responding for api since he is new on this forum and he can't post more than 5 times in 24 hours. Anyway, dsmlink is not that hard to tune at all, its similar to having a afc and a timing controller in one unit. Like a hondata system based off of your existing ecu.
