I dyno'd my Volvo for the first time since the engine rebuild and here's what I got. I'm using a slightly longer rod with a shorter piston. Can you say torque monster?

200 ft. lbs. at 2500rpm... should be great for city drivin. How do the volvo drivetrains hold up to this kind of torque?

TD04HL-19T turbo off 2000 Volvo V70R (still too tiny )

So far so good There a few guys in europe running upwards of 500 hp and they seem to be holding up. Next step will be a larger turbo Weak point in the motor are the stock rods...I bent 2 with my current setup hence the rebuild.

Jesus, that thing was badass! But it seems to be in Sweden?

 

Hehe not mine.. He is from sweden and he's basically got the similar motor work done(pistons/rods/ported head etc..) but he's got a big Holset turbo on there. His car is and 850, mines an S70...essentially the same motor. It's something I will be doing in the future, i'm just not sure what turbo to get.

wow too much torque guys time for me to go back to my torque monster geo metro which dyno at 25whp and 55lbs now thats torque .

 

man them volvos are SLEEPERS. i was just cruising one day and out of nowhere this volvo starts messing with me. i was like WTF is this guy thinking. so i figured what the hell, itll be fun. so i launched and dude hung with me i finally pulled him on top end but i had to give it to him it was sick. we pulled over (after my tranny got so HOT it locked itself out of gear) and the guy talked to me for a second while i kicked my car. DAMN EAGLE TALONS with the god forsaken BOOST. but anyways now that im done telling my story, NICE NUMBERS

 

Damn that is a crazy sleeper!

 

I think thats the best sleeper I have ever seen.

 

haha my buddy has a 740 wagon with a 302 in it, completely stock wheels n all, thats a sleeper, gotta love volvos, i have a 245
