Sweet, another SOHC'er joins the club. Welcome aboard!
But if you don't have the blue box on, how are you getting extra fuel for your boost?

Are you running the turbo without fuel management at all? That's probably not a good idea. That will result in disaster. I may have misunderstood.
Also, lots of people in this forum frown on streetracing hard. I'm not the self richeous type, so I'm not gonna preach, but I'm betting someone will probably post some little diddy about how they hope you get killed before you kill someone, and bla bla. I'm just giving you a heads up. Too many people get hurt or killed, and needless to say that sparks emotion. I live in Ohio, so when we get killed we're just glad we don't have to face another winter.

If you've been boosting with no bluebox, then I assume you have a missing link in place correct? Otherwise your ECU would have a titty attack when it saw boost. I suggest you setup your fuel asap before you blow something up. What are you doing for fuel aside from the Prelude injectors? Pump? FMU? How are you delivering extra fuel under boost?

Re: got my gredy kit on yesterday... (VTC_CiViC)
Do you have a boost gauge? Please tell me that you have either a boost gauge, a/f gauge, fmu, missing link, something other than just the turbo. You shouldn't be driving a car with only half of the turbo kit on there. If you haven't damaged something, you're either not boosting, or lucky.
If the car has no blue box, and no missing link, I think something is wrong and its not seeing boost. The ECU basically see any boost, so if you aren't running any type of missing link and a stock ECU with no light, you're probably not getting any boost.

JDMhonda, please tell us what exactly you are running on. This is critical, if you care about your engine and car.

TAKE HEED, YE NON-BELIEVERS!
DO NOT FEED BOOST TO THY MOTOR LACKING THY PROPER FUEL MANAGEMENT
THY PISTONS WILL HEAT AND TREMBLE AND CRACK
THY RODS WILL BEND
THY CYLINDER WALLS WILL CRACK IN TWO, AND BE FILLED WITH A GREAT FLOOD
AND THERE WILL BE MUCH WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH
OH, MY BRETHEREN! DO NOT BOOST THY CAR WITHOUT FUEL!!!
I PRAY FOR YOUR MOTOR.

I still can't see how you aren't getting a CEL. Just because the turbo is spooling, doesn't mean there's boost at the manifold... and get a boost gauge. Just because the boost is set at 5lbs doesn't mean its only boosting 5lbs.
I personally wouldn't drive another mile without a boost gauge, A/F gauge or exhaust temp gauge. When my civic was running super lean, I wouldn't have known without the a/f gauge. It felt fine, I couldn't hear any detonation, and the FMU was hooked up. Without looking at the gauge I would have thought I was doing great. I would be looking at a blown motor right now. There is a good chance that you aren't going to be able to tell that its about to go before it does. It'll just go.

They don't. The D16Z6 kit fits the D16Y8 without a problem, it's the same kit I use. Cost me $2500 for the turbo kit including the intercooler, 440cc injectors, AVC-R, V-AFC, gauges and installation of the turbo. Thus far it has me running 14.2 @ 100mph with no grip.. faster than most Preludes
wow..you ran a 14.2 with a greddy turboed d16y8?? Even Greddy turboed b16a can only pull 14.1......why is that
