Got the car tuned, 6262, sleeved GSR, e85
First off I want to thank Howard from RLZ for the time he put into the car and the awesome tune. We ran into a few problems, my stock ignition and in-tank walbro died on me and we had a dump tube issue with the turbo sucking in the exhaust from the dump. Now to the setup
84.5mm Golden Eagle sleeved GSR, 9.1 CP pistons and Eagle rods
Stock port GSR Head, GSR cams and full Omni valve train (Springs, Retainers, and Valves)
Inline Pro SS Manifold with Precision 46mm wastegate
Precision 6262 billet wheel with ported S cover and .82 housing
31x4x13 Intercooler with 2.5 inch Intercooler piping
3 inch Downpipe into full 3 inch exhaust (no cats or muffler)
255 Walbro in-tank and Bosch 044 in-line pumps, Fuelab 90-125psi regulator, pushing
ID1000s with base pressure at 92.5
Running on Neptune and controlling boost with mac boost solenoid.
Limited to 25lbs of boost, wouldn't go up any higher, believe it is due to the downpipe. Going to fix this and swap type R cams in it eventually.
So E85 at 25lbs it made 611whp and 390ft/lbs on RLZ's Dynapack dyno

witht hat base at 92.5 what was the duty looking like man
this is really close to my setup except i was on an older pt67 turbo
my base was 80psi, and duty was around 98% with rc 1000's
really nice setup man

What do you mean.. about the 3" downpipe and exhaust.. It sounds like it is free flowing to me.. What is the issue... There does not seem like there is any issue..

Id be more concerned about the duty cycle of those 1000cc injectors with e85. Your exhaust will probably be good enough imo...

Good numbers, that graph laid out like that confuses me and the choppyness doesnt help lol
Is your HP peaking at 7k and then falling to 475 at redline or am I looking at it wrong?

Re: Got the car tuned, 6262, sleeved GSR, e85
My duty cycle just cracked the 90's. So there is a little more left out of the 1000s.
I was told that on e85 I could run 600-650 tops on the id1000s with my pump setup.
The graph is setup weird to me also but that was the torque falling off from 389 to 320ish. The run before it made 610/399. I'm going to run it like it is for this season or until I get the short track dialed in, whichever happens first. Then I will redo the downpipe and throw some type R or s2 type 1's in and call it a day. I am really happy with 600 on a log style manifold and stock port and cams GSR

i can agree with that man we made that on the rc 1000's, and the id's are new tech so i dont think thats an issue
your cams arent the issue either man
what intake manifold/size throttle body are you running
im running a smaller gate as well tial 38mm with a tial 50mm blow off

should be good there then as you can see i also dropped off on torque a wee bit as well
might be heat lol my little cx racing intercooler doesnt do well at that level lol

lol yeah not 611, and alot of tuners stay pretty conservative on 91 due to the fear of detnation and destroying a motor
this is why alot of us have chosen to go with e85 i mean its cheaper than 91, and has way more potential

Re: Got the car tuned, 6262, sleeved GSR, e85
That is a insane, I had the Rc's and swapped to the id's days before the tune due to 5 big name tuners telling me the rc's wouldn't make 600 on e85. They said I getting them to idle at 85lbs of base would be near impossible being they were peak and hold injectors and I daily the car pretty much(when its nice out the car comes out. Howard says his dyno reads about 5-8% low so that puts me in the ballpark of exact same numbers on 25lbs.

The only diff I see with are setups is I have a 6265, pro1s, and ID1000's and I am going to switch to E85. This makes me feel way better about reaching my goal of 550whp! Thanks!

Re: Got the car tuned, 6262, sleeved GSR, e85
im on a larger turbo myself its a 67, and i didnt have anymore in her on the 1000's she was maxed out we tried to go to 26-27 psi but it just wasnt looking good up there
i was gainin 18h.p per 1psi and we wanted to get into the 670 range
moral of the story is yes they will make it, but if you want good reliable 650+ then go big or stay home lol
i could have switched to c or q and made some real power, but the cost isnt appealing to me at all to run it
