Got back from the track - I suck at driving
I have a 92 hatch with a first gen b16a and basically a DRAG kit, with a couple little differences. So my best run is a 15.245 @ 93.98 mph. Shitty 60' time, just shitty all around. Now another run I go 15.3 @96.35 mph. Slower, but faster trap speed. I had no slicks so the tires were spinning through 4th. I tried to lay off the pedal and I got my speed higher, but didnt do so well on the time. Now what really lets me know that I suck is this: I let my friend drive, who hasnt dragged quarter mile for over a year, and he has never driven my car although he used to have almost the same setup, and he gets a 14.24 @ 100.something ......so I am glad that I know my car isnt as slow as I make it to be, but I also am upset that I sucked it up. He is a really good driver (got a bone stock 99 si to a 15.2) but still, I suck.
It was still fun though, especially since the clutch gave me no problems and everything went well mechanically. I learned a lot about driving with no traction, and hopefully next time I will do better. It was kind of like learning to drive a stick, where you know you need to let of the clutch slowly, but you pop it....here I new I needed to feather the gas pedal, but I slammed it into the ground
I am now looking into some slicks and new suspension....my shtish is shot.

Re: Got back from the track - I suck at driving (Slow_ass_4dr)
5 lbs. I wasnt driving it correctly, just spinning the tires through 4th, so basically spinning crossing the line. Then I tried to let off the gas and went up to 97, and my friend got it up to over 100. Just couldnt get the power to the ground.

Damn, so your trying your hardest to live up to your member name
Dude, you gotta learn how to feather the gas pedal. All that power going to the ground isnt doing **** unless you get traction.
Just for a kick in the *****, I ran a 14.6 in my LS powered N/A Si hatch at 93 mph. That will tell you that you need to learn how to conserve all that power and learn how to get it to the ground.
