got a ? about what i might have done to my engine
well,,i think i may have over reved my car
i think i dropped to 2nd at too high of rpm,
then i ran it hard and ran it up too redline threw 4th
and when i came to a stop,i stated hearing this very loud tapping noise,,,its not like a loud knocking,,its more of a loud tapping comming from the upper part of the engine,,,sounds closer to the timing belt
well i talked to my local shop,,they said i could of spun a bearing,,if its a loud knocking,,,,,while driving home,,i kept telling myself,,i just need my valves adjusted,
hoping it wasnt more(but i have never heard valves tap this loud)
it drove fine all the way home(about 20 mins,) i just laid off the boost
well my shop guys said keep the car runnin,,and take each spark plug wire off,and see if it quiets down,,,and if it does,,its a spun bearing
well i did it,,and the tapping never got queiter,
but when i took the spark plug wire off the 2nd from the right plug,,the whole car shut off( idont know what cyl that is,,but if your lookin at the motor from the front,,its the 2nd from the right
all the other plugs after i took the wire off,,just made it run slower,,
but that one,,made the whole car shut off
anyone know what that is??
i did a comp test,,after the car was warmed up,,with all the plugs out,,tested each one,,with the ecu fuse out,,and WOT
and from left to right
heres the #'s
190,189,190,179
maybe the 179 could b a lil higher,,it was the last one i checked,,so maybe it cooled down a lil
but that 2nd 190,,is the one where the car totally shut off when i took the plug off
let me know what could b the prob?

do a leak down on cyl with 179 psi, are those compression numbers listed cyl 1-4 left to right? if you take off one spark plug and the engine dies out, chances are you have one cylinder that is pretty much dead.
have a leakdown performed, you may have bent a valve and/or other damage.
