I have 5,000 dollers saving up for a Forced induction product. I am pretty sure i am getting the drag turbo kit group buy but i don't want the hastle of taking out my turbo and things to that extent to pass smog. I want the greddy kit but will i be able to use my 5 g's to make my 2000 GS-R leagel and hitting at least low twelves and/or high 12's?? NO NOS!!!! Please help and enlist the parts?????? thanks

 

Dont worry about smog itll just take a good day to take the turbo out, go get ur smog done, and than put it back in....just get in on the group buy....get a 3" thermal exhaust...clutchnet clutch...greddy profec b.....rc 540's...s afc...inline head gasket.....fuel pump.....thats all i can think of.....**** SMOG

 

don't waste your time with that safc bullshit.

get the drag turbo group buy

upgrade your clutch, and your fuel pump

then get a standalone fuel management system with the rest of the moeny
hondata would be a good choice if theres a tuner in your area.

 

ya just spend a day swapping the turbo with your old headers. and buy the group buy drag kit. much better than a greddy

 

Do you think that i would be able to get the 12's with this kit.....i heard there is also some minor fabrication involved with this kit to fit in a integra gsr....also i heard that the wastegate will dent my hood.....how can i avoid this from happening??

 

dont worry about the dent u can by an elbow to make it fir better and not touch ur hood....i dont think there is any fabrication except for telittle piece of block in the way....just file t down.....and yes 12's are very possible with what i sid earlyer

 

yeah, i hate that s-afc......it only lets me run 11's. thats terrible. hahaha

safc is not junk, but i'd much rather take a hondata if i had the 5g's ..

but anyone can put a turbo b18c in a hatch and run 12's on street tires...its really NOT that hard to make a car go fast. it all depends on your style and flavor. if i could redo my car i'd do what you did...hatch with b18c1 turbo..easy and cheap..but i dunno, something about the dc2's i love

probably because the hondata system, from what i've personally seen with my own eyes, isn't full proof, is still in its infancy, and isn't that cheap. well over 1000 for what you really would need and my set up is alot cheaper, works well if done correctly, and just as reliable.

not everyone runs low 11's with a full interior car and no, not everyone can run mid 12's in a front wheel drive without spending the $$ and time and effort to do it. my car isn't even tuned for the street. if it was, my times would be even better.

not flaming you, its just that hondata is not everyones wet dream.....yet

 

i agree with most of what you say. i'm just saying i'd rather depend on a hondata after talking to some tuners and asking their opinions. i'd rather get a speed pro myself but i don't have a lot of money. its not that expensive to get into 12's if you think about it

a nice 75 shot of nos( not the zex bullshit ..talking like a wet kit 75 to the wheels)

i believe that's more than enough to dip into the 12's.

then again, expensive to one person can mean something to another

But I was asking about a regular integra GS-R becuase I do have a 99 hatch with b18C1 in my car but am not doing the turbo for a while. Its my older brother who is trying to get ahead of me and beat me now that i swapped out to his engine. So what kind of Cams should i get.

Yeah where?? Also comparin a hatchback with the same gsr motor is totally unfair vs a 3rd gen gsr coupe With 5g I would get into Ben GB and then buy the necessary things and build up the block for more boost like lower compression, rods, etc.
