Got 35-40 instead of 60 .........will I be ok???
Just honed my sleeved block, I was able to get nice, even, uniformed finish, however, the cross hatch is more like 35-40*. I used a three stone tool with 400 grit. I think the rpm was a little to high because it was moved up and down very swiftly.
Will the rings seat??
Will the rings seat??
Thats good news for me.........all I need to hear now is that there is a slight possibility that a used 2nd comp ring among all new rings may seat with that fresh hone....or at least work for a while with out smoking. Broke one of the new ones.
