under 200 dollars and new? good luck.. more like 250. heres a nice one:

http://www.plxdevices.com/products_SMAFR.htm

has a nice digital 52mm display, has some extra features like simulates narroband output to your ecu so you don't need to use factory sensor.

aem also has one http://www.aempower.com/ViewPr...ID=73

do'nt know if it simulates narroband output or not but it comes with 52mm display like plx

ngk also make one. you can do a search on any of them to get more info

plx has 200 series that might be much cheaper and closer to 200 dollars, dont konw much about its features and if its still for sale new

wideband measures air to fuel ratio and to me is more important than EGT. EGT is exhaust gas temperature and can be used for reference if you get the readins during tuning and use later on.

most hondas come w/ narroband that measures accurate within 14.7 range, anything under or above is in the cloud. narroband output would still be usefull if you want to know if you're running really lean or in closed loop or below 14.7. wideband would tell you the exact a/f ratio, not needed but useful to have just like any other gauge

I work at Forged Performance in Georgia and we use the Innovate LM1 wide band and have really good luck with it. It sells for 375 on our web site. We use this wide band in everyone of our cars that we work on.

So a wideband is far better then a EGT for tuning purposes? New to the whole tuning thing, and my tuner requested i get one so.

PLX all the way. Just go with the M300, they are about $300 shipped. Extra sensors are about $80.

If you search around you can find them for like 50. I got one of amazon for around there. It is a Bosch primary from a VW 1.8t.

I had an R-500 and sold it because I didn't need the datalogger... Used it to tune a friends turbo Eclipse. I loved it. Right now I have the AEM UEGO because I got it for $215. If you're not in a hurry wait and see if you can't find something on eBay or the marketplace. GL.

I got a PLX M-300 with bosch sensor from a sponcer on this site. No complaints and PLX had good documentation for install. The bosch sensors are pretty good to and if you have to replaced one due to running leaded fuel longterm you can replace the sensor for about $70.

You can get some widebands for that price, but with no display. A wideband will only show afr's if you aren't the tuner, so you need to monitor it to make sure it never goes rich/lean.

BTW theres also about 500 other wideband threads, if you took time to search.

sm afr is a controller that reads O2 sensor ouput and sends signal out to diplay and couple other outputs

you'll need dm5 display and they offer them together in a kit. dm5 will display wideband readings
