the thing is this....

i need a downpipe for my greddy kit (99 civic si). i want it to be a 2.5/3" dp. ac compatible yada yada. i found this combo on ebay cheaper then it would cost for a custom dp at a shop.




i was thinking about buying the kit on ebay, selling the manifold and bringing the downpipe in and just having it cut and welded to the stock greddy elbow. i think it would work with minimal modification but i wanted to know your thoughts.will it work? would i be better off just going another route? thanks in advance sorry for the shitty brain storm.

i think it would work, the 5-bolt flange would have to go, everything else looks like it would match,

 

my thoughts exactly. the greddy elbow comes down and would replace the 5 bolt flange anyways. any other opinions on the idea?

 

i agree. it should be fairly easy to make that work.

Unless you are running your exhaust turbine on the passenger side.

youre correct but, the only part i will need will be below the exhaust housing like so....

 

if thats all you want, just go to your local muffler shop... any competant muffler shop can do that.

 

Yea man, if all you want is like half of that downpipe then it's not worth it. Got to a muffler shop with a flex-pipe and have them weld something up for ya.

Yes, it's backwards, and secondly, that flange should work on the greddy kit, that's what I have....

also, your muffler shop should have flex pipes in stock... they might not have 3" though... But my boy had 2.5" in stock.

And they have BOXES of o2 bungs... so dont worry about that... just tell them where you want it.
