Good idea? Bad Idea?
Right now my friend and I are building a B18a that will be fed by a T04 turbo. We are building the complete bottom of the engine, minus crank. Is it a good idea fr when we swap to put the turbo on then? Or to let the engine break in and THEN put the turbo on? Sorry if it doesnt make sense. Thanks though.

break it in with the turbocharger in place, and boosting.
I'm sure some of the faster guys can vouch for a Firm/hard break-in...

A little boost to break a motor in is a good thing, but alot of times what happens is that people put in a whole new setup and it's not tuned. Breaking a motor in on an untuned setup isn't a great idea. As long as he's not going with a standalone right off the bat then he'll be fine. A stock ecu and fmu would be good for a very low boost break in. You can't really go to wrong on the tuning that way.

That's great if you want to run the profec E, but that's a boost controller and has nothing to do with fuel management....
