Heres my deal. I am looking at an intercooler from johnnyracecar.com for my 5th gen coupe which will be boosted in the spring using a greddy sohc kit. Now a buddy of mine says that the ic I am looking at will not work good at all, and I would find that I would get alot of boost drop if I use that intercooler. On the other hand I have heard nothing but good things about these intercoolers. Oh yeah and my buddy recomends a DSM smic over the johnnyracecar Ic. I need some help!!

ur buddy is an idiot if he recomends a side mount intercooler over a front mount , the johnnyracecar intercooler is a a great one . it will support about 350hp , which is more than enough for an eg greddy setup....as a matter of fact i have the johnnyracecar on my ek with the greddy kit . get the intercooler!!

 

Thats what I thought. Did you go with the 5inch or the six?
