as above. i am going to spray a NX 50 shot in my ls motor with 195k on it. i dont care. i have a b16 to put in and i want to go out with a bang. literally.

higher mileage doesn't always mean that the motor is shot, but i'm sure it has considerable wear. if it was "babied" most of the 195K then it may take the 50 shot like nothing for awhile. just make sure the mixture is correct, if not you can blow a perfectly good motor with improper tuning etc.

see how long it lasts.

if your compression is good and you dont cry right after another id say itll last for a while. Probaly end up lasting longer than you think

I put a non-intercooled t3 set up boosting 8psi on my integra that had 195,000 on it. It now has 205,000 and it runs as strong as ever. It all depends on if the engine is in good condition to start with.

Better make it a 125 shot at least then. You can spray a 50 shot forever and that thing probably wouldn't blow (unless you didn't add any fuel and detonate).

Agreed, if you are trying to blow it will last way longer than you think just to make you mad. Try at least 100! For some reason everytime someone actually tries to blow a motor they have trouble doing it. Personally the night before I swapped my d16z6 in I took my turbo d15b7 out with the wastegate not hooked up. I spiked over 20 psi on a stock block with an fmu and it did not blow. Got some detontion on the top end then the clutch started slipping near redline. Tried it many more times but the clutch let loose at 10 psi everytime. I think the clutch saved the motor, not enough load to blow it . The sound of the turbo and bov at the level made it worth it though.

I have seen a LS motor with 150 K on it go through 4 bottles of a 150 shot. GOD DAMN that thing was fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have seen a older 89 accord take a 125 shot about 10-15 times before the ringlands went.
