Their have been recent threads about the sleeves dropping. Thats the only bad i've heard about them.
One member here is fighting with them to repair his block it lasted like 1200 miles before the sleeves dropped.

There's one or two people here that are having problems with their sleeves (and in one case it doesn't even sound sleeve related). There are hundreds more who have absolutely no problems at all with GE. But do a search on those people who have no problems and you'll come up blank. People don't post their success stories here. Only people who have problems post them here -- all two of them.

Re: golden eagle? is it worth it? (blufke)
Actually, the stock motor that was in my car, the b21a1, is horrible. The worst in my opinion. But I replaced that engine with the jdm version, the b20a. This is a great engine, no problems at all, that is why I am building this one. Thanks for all the help guys. I think I am going to take a chance with GE. Anyone know if GE will pin my sleeves? I also need a good head gasket. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
