I wish you the best of luck, as I said not all of them have problems. Mine did not rear it's head until it was actually heated up and broken in. I was not anticipating problems either of the two times we built the motor.
Again best of luck to you.

Thanks man. I have heard lots of positive feedback about there sleeves. I originally wanted to use a closed deck design like Darton but I couldnt trust any machine shops around here with my engine. Thanks again
id rather not..i dont like the idea of lawsuits...and its not all that much money to start troube like that...i wouldnt like it being done to me, so i wont do it to someone else.. unless its a really "big" matter. this isnt all that big..so i guess ill have to deal.

2.2l civic,
that sux about your situation. To me it would be a big deal because thats a lt of $ floating out there and you have no idea about your investment. We need some more light shed on this.
Its one thing to have a good product, but you got to have customer service to back it up.

Bump for 2.2Lcivic.
GE needs to go read some books on customer centricity. Do you know what customers rate the most important things when purchasings?
1. Customer Service
2. Quality
3. Price
Price is the last thing, having good prices and bad service won't get you far.
Now I will be going with dartons on my turbo project. Good luck 2.2Lcivic.

Hey guys, I think we know about customer service. ANyways, we do not live here on HT. If you need something from us, call us. We do not check this board every day. We cannot respond to you if we do not know there is something to respond to!!??!!?? Anyways, if you have a problem, please give us a call (909) 592 - 4311. Thanks.
Judging by previous posts and disatisified members. . . I'd say instead of calling maybe you guys should return calls or answer them instead of just telling people to call
I love your products, but this isnt the 1st time I've heard of bad phone etiquette (sp) i.e. giving people the run-around or not returning calls. Just an observation. . .

Is it me or does it look like the GE guy is just avoiding these two guys?? Sorry to hear about your problems, and good luck with these GE clowns. For future endavours I'd suggest Darton for a plethura of reasons, this post being one of them.

I sorry to hear about the trouble some of you are having with GE but I never had a problem with thier products or service. Instead of coming on to a board and talking about what you think they should or shouldnt do, why not keep on calling them till the problem is resolved.
GE is a fair company so they will work with you on the problem with thier product.
Ted and Vince are very fair people.

That would be a great idea if they had an 800 number! Long distance charges suck and when you don't get a call back when you leave several messages sucks!

So you know about customer service? Why don't you return calls? I've worked in retail, and that is ONE thing you have to do. Always return calls, even when all you can say is "we are trying to figure out something, but haven't found a resolution that suits all parties....blah blah blah."
I understand, as a fellow business owner, you don't always have time to check every post on every forum to see who is talking about your established company. His intentions were not to "bash" your company, all he wants is it resolved. He is RELATING his experience with YOUR company. He isn't lying saying "its they're the worst, f-them, those lying suns of a..." He has only stated "called" "left message again" etc. and what he would like done as a customer. He even stated that he has another block that needs sleeving, so he is willing to do business again.
Sometimes you need to set time aside, even if it is a busy day, to thank customers, follow-up on issues they are having, and resolve issues.

Well you should give him a phone call and let him know that something is being done instead of leaving him in the dark.

I havent had an issue yet with my block or 6 others we have built with ge sleeves. I have put 650+whp thru my mine w/o any issues so far. There are few that have issues but when you sleeve 1000 block a year **** does happen. to the guy that got his money back.. you are lucky it wasnt a JG block cause it would have taken a long court process to get your $$ back from them. anyway, if you cant get some one on the phone. call and call and call until you do. I never have any trouble getting ted or vince and its not cause i am a dealer. I ask for them just like you guys do. they dont know its me until they are on the line. so call all day long if you have an issue. they dont come on here enough to help you.
Yeah, but as a respectable, prominent company, they should care enough about their customers and call them back. It shouldn't be the customers responsibility to call every 30 minutes, every day, until the customer gets in contact.
I'm glad to hear that you've had terrific experiences with GE and I'm glad you enjoy selling GE Products.
